About This Group

The mission of the New Initiatives Committee is to support APWA鈥檚 strategic goals by reviewing and funding new initiatives that advance the association鈥檚 Strategic Plan. The committee is authorized by the Board of Directors to approve proposals within an annual, Board-approved funding level and focuses on initiatives that strengthen membership growth and engagement, expand education and credentialing, enhance technology and innovation, elevate public visibility and advocacy efforts, and advance research and professional practice in public works.
