Education Program

PWX attendees sit attentively during an education session. A woman in a navy sweater is focused, surrounded by others listening intently.91探花knows the challenges and opportunities facing public works are unprecedented. The speed of social and technological change places an enormous responsibility on you to proactively provide and maintain the infrastructure needed for your community鈥檚 growth and well-being.

You need a PWX experience that will help you gain new perspectives, exchange ideas, and participate in important and thought-provoking discussions on the shape of things to come.

  • What are your blind spots? Are you open to fresh and broader perspectives?
  • What is your vision for the future of public works?
  • Can innovation be learned?
  • What鈥檚 coming? Do you have any hunches or visions for what the next technological advancement will be?
  • How should we be providing public works infrastructure and services that are resilient and sustainable?

Selecting Education Sessions

When selecting education sessions, we encourage you to consider not only the title and session description, but also the learning objectives and the session proficiency level. The learning objectives articulate the three major takeaways an attendee will leave that session better able to do. Additionally, each session is assigned one of three proficiency levels. Proficiency levels (introductory, applied, or advanced) indicate at what level the information is presented, ensuring your knowledge and learning needs on the topic align well with the information provided.
